Dr. Dan Dickerson
Dr. Dan Dickerson, a 1965 graduate of Midland High School, now pastors the church he attended as a high school student. Before coming to Calvary in 1979, Dr. Dickerson ministered as a youth pastor in Denver, Colorado. There, he and his wife, Cheryl, started their family made up of four boys. They were married in 1969.
Dr. Dickerson enjoys most sports, hunting, reading and walks with Cheryl. Recently he said of Calvary, “There is nothing more exciting than to see God at work in the lives of people.” His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 3:10, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”
Dr. Dickerson received both his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Bob Jones University and in May of 1998 was awarded the Doctor of Sacred Ministries degree from Northland Baptist Bible College.
Dr. Mike Reece
Pastor Mike Reece has been the Calvary Baptist Academy Administrator since 1978. Pastor Reece holds a Bible degree from the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music, a B.S. degree in education from Central Michigan University and a M.A. in Educational Administration from Pensacola Christian College. He is a current doctoral candidate at Bob Jones University.
He and his wife Jeanie have four children. Concerning his family and CBC, Pastor Reece says, “Calvary is a great place to raise a family. There is a ministry here for every member of a family. From newborns to senior citizens, Calvary ministers to all.”
Pastor Reece enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and nearly all sports. His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Mark Dickerson
Pastor Mark Daniel Dickerson, Jr. grew up at Calvary Baptist Church and upon graduation from Calvary Baptist Academy, he and his wife, Danelle, both graduated from Bob Jones University. In 1995, Pastor Mark Dickerson and Danelle moved to Jacksonville, Florida where Pastor Mark spent three years as a Youth Pastor at Victory Baptist Church. In 1999, Pastor Mark and Danelle moved back to Midland and joined the staff as Youth Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church.
Isaiah 40:31 is his favorite verse, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Like most youth pastors, Pastor Mark enjoys virtually all sports! Pastor Mark graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.A. in Bible in 1996. He and Danelle have three sons, Mark Daniel Dickerson III, Matthew, Caleb, and one daughter Kaitlin.
Dr. David Warren
Pastor David has been on staff at CBC since September of 2003. He has a B.A. in Youth Ministries and a M.A. in Counseling. At CBC he is the Discipleship Pastor which involves counseling, mobilization, Christian education ministries, adult ministries, financial and office management and the drama ministry. Pastor David is also the Life Builders Sunday School teacher and works with the Junior High. Pastor David was ordained at CBC in 1998. From 1997 to 1999 he was the Youth Pastor at Temple Heights Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida and from 1999 to 2002 he was a family counselor at Boysville of Michigan. Pastor David is interested in the University of Michigan, golf and computers. He and his wife, Maria, have three children, twins: Brenden and Kiersten, and a son Carson.
Pastor James Day
James came to Calvary in K-4 and graduated from here in 2002. After attending Bob Jones University, he began teaching in 2006 at a Springfield Christian School in Michigan. He later took on the responsibility of youth pastor at Dixie Baptist Church. In 2015, Pastor James became the youth pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor James teaches 11th grade Bible Doctrines. James is married to Tiffany Day (2nd grade teacher) and has two children, Sadie and Peyton. James enjoys the outdoors and is an average fantasy football manager.
