Mrs. Vivian Court
Señora Court has been teaching Spanish at CBA since 2006. She learned to speak Spanish at home in her native country of Cuba. After she moved to the USA, she earned a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Business Administration from Florida International University.
Mrs. Court has two children, teaches in Junior Church, is involved in AWANA Cubbies, and works with her husband’s accounting practice. She loves teaching, children, gardening, and hot weather.
Mrs. Tiffany Day
Tiffany Day grew up in Clarkston, Michigan. From a very early age she knew she was going to teach. She graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. in 2005 with a bachelors degree in Arts and Science. Before coming to Calvary Baptist Academy, Tiffany taught upper elementary for 9 years in Clarkston, Michigan. She is currently teaching third grade at Calvary Baptist Academy. Also, she assists her husband in the youth group at Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband, James Day, is the youth pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. They have 2 children, Sadie and Peyton. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her children, playing soccer, reading, and being outdoors.
Mrs. Deanne Lewis
Dr. Dana Everson
Dr. Dana Everson is a saxophonist, pianist, arranger, teacher, and music educator based in mid-Michigan. He has quietly been one of mid-Michigan’s outstanding saxophonists since the late 1970′s. He has over 400 published works.
Dr. Everson has a Doctorate of Ministry from Northland Baptist Bible College as well as Masters in Sacred Music from Pensacola Christian College and a Masters in Music from Michigan State University.
Dr. Everson has taught at the college level and is currently offering private lessons in multiple instruments as well as accompanying groups at Calvary Baptist Academy. He is very much over-qualified for his position and is a tremendous asset to the Academy.
Mr. Jonathan Jezowski
Jonathan graduated from Northland International University in the spring of 2009 with a BS degree in Elementary Education. He’s been teaching with CBA since Fall of 2009. Jonathan helps with Soccer Coaching and JV and Varsity Volleyball.
Jonathan is also active in Church serving as an usher, in the choir, and as an AWANA Sparks helper.
Mrs. Lydia Jezowski
Lydia graduated from Bob Jones University in 2012 with a B.Mus. in String Pedagogy and again in 2013 with a M.S. in Biblical Counseling. She began teaching at CBA in the Fall of 2013. She teaches private string lessons in violin, viola, and cello as well as elementary general music classes and beginning strings classes. She also leads the Intermediate and Advanced String Ensembles.
Lydia is also involved at church playing in the orchestra and is an AWANA Truth and Training leader.
Mrs. Sandra Laughner
Sandra is a 1997 graduate of Saginaw Valley State University College of Education receiving a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Sandra has enjoyed part time work at Calvary Baptist Academy since 2012. She is currently teaching Computer Lab in CBA Elementary and in Hidden Treasures Preschool (K-4 and K-5). She and her husband, Todd, have one daughter, Peyton.
Mrs. Lori Martin
Lori earned her degree from Northland Baptist Bible College and began teaching private lessons in 2000. She taught five years at a private school in Saginaw before coming to CBA.
She is married to John, who is a guitar instructor, and also teaches private lessons. They have one son, Christopher, who is currently a student at Calvary Baptist Academy.
Mr. Dan Matson
Dan has taught elementary and junior high education for thirty-five years. He holds a B.S. in elementary education. He is the sixth grade teacher. His interests include fishing, hunting, camping, and sports. He is a member of the Usher Crew at Calvary Baptist Church. His wife, Kathleen, is a registered nurse. They have five children: David, Heather, Jonathan, Stephen, and Hope. Kathleen and Dan also have five grandchildren.
Mrs. Pam O’Shaughnessey
Pam has taught at CBA since 1993. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan. She taught 18 years in fourth grade and is currently the director of the Educational Support Program at CBA. She is a qualified screener for Dyslexia. Outside of school, she tutors dyslexic students. Pam has four grown children (Dani, Nate, Christina, and Michael) and three grandchildren. She is interested in Ireland and loves to travel.
Mr. Paul Reece
Paul received his BS degree in education from from Northland International University in 2011 and has been teaching fourth grade at Calvary Baptist Academy since the fall of 2012. Along with teaching, Paul is the Varsity Girls Soccer coach. Paul and his wife, Nikole, serve faithfully as leaders in the singles ministry of Calvary Baptist Church.
Miss Kaylee Shepard
Kaylee Shepard grew up and lived in Lapeer, Michigan before joining the CBA staff in the fall of 2016. She graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College in the spring of 2016 with a bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education and Biblical Studies. Kaylee enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and singing.
